Greenstone Inn: Rounding the Corner...

With painting moving along and the beginning of trimming out the first units it might be safe to say that we have ‘rounded the corner and can see the finish line. The ceiling in the Garage is well on its way to being done. Outside the siding moves steadily along – rain or shine; the stone masons are nearing completion of their work, and work proceeds on the Portico, Driveway and Entry roof . Nailing up the soffits in the Garage (above) is followed by taping the joints (right). All the wall board in the garage is a fire rated 5/8” Type ‘X’. With the paint on, the Trim Carpenters move in (above). First they install a Cornice around the top. The detail view (top) shows this panel becoming a light trough as it turns the corner and runs down the side walls. Work begins on the Entry roof. This is the last of the roof elements for the Greenstone. Pouring a concrete curb/wall in the Portico area separating the two driveways (which are at different elevations). Grouting the tile. More driveway forms & shingling. Right after I did the year-end feature on
our crew, Quade finished another job and brought several guys over to help out with the Greenstone. Brian is one of Quade’s other superintendents. John, Jade and Ron have been handling all the siding work. Brian Quade & Bear Ron Jordan Jade Vurn (top) & John Cathcart
