Greenstone Inn: Saying "Good Bye" to our view...

The fellas kicked it into high gear this week as they began framing the first floor walls. Our view was soon filled with a forest of studs and plates. Meanwhile, the sprinkler crew was busy in the basement. Framing up the interior "party walls." Staggered studs help dampen sound. Using the Sky Trak to help stand up the walls. Hmm, let's make this easy… Laying out the walls: here the top and bottom plates show room layouts. Lowering a wall over the steel hold downs from the foundation. The building's form is starting to take shape. From the water side individual rooms & balconies take shape.Working on the sprinkler pipes. First of many pipe junctions. The finished Parking Garage became the repository of large amounts of materials. Some things never change, the garage is full of everything but cars. Steadily all week our (temporary) view was going away in the face of the Greenstone's phoenix-like rise.
