Greenstone Inn: Last Pour and Steeling the Show

This week saw the Flatwork Team returns to place the last of the floor sections. With that, the major foundation work is done and it's on to framing… With concrete pouring from heaven the last patches of bare dirt become a floor. With over 400 yards poured so far, the last of the mud goes down and the guys move in for the final floor finishing on the final section. Even as the final touches on the slab are being made, the crew begins readying the site for the next phase, Framing. The Once "big hole in the yard" has now become a substantial base for the Greenstone Inn, ready to provide the support for the 20 Suites to rise above. Prepping the steel beams with pres. trt'd. sills and stl. joist hangers. It's a tight squeeze, for the Sky Trak as it maneuvers a beam into place. "Setting" the beam is followed with a quick tack-weld, and it's on to the next… As this week drew to a close we saw the completion of Phase One of the project (Excavation & Foundation) and a start on Phase Two, the Framing. Next week: Final beam placement & welding, sub flooring being laid down, and who knows what else. …Stay Tuned!
