With the Concrete pump truck positioned and leveled the first concrete truck shows up. It's 7:30 AM; concrete guys love to get early starts. The pump operator (the guy in the blue overalls) has a remote controll for the pump and operates it from the actual place the concrete is being squirted into. Each time a new truck arrives, he goes to check its load and returns to the forms. The crew set to work "slingin' mud." The lead man places the mud, his skilled eye knowing when enough is enough. Cake pans need to be filled just right ya' know. Behind the lead man come the "jitter bug" guy vibrating all the air bubbles out, and he is followed by a "float crew" smoothing out the dough. Here we see how many cooks it takes to fill a cake pan. Let's see, Lead Guy (the hoser), Mr. Jitterbug (and helper) and two Floaters. But it also takes observers determined to get into the picture. Eventually the crew made it all the way around to the other side and closed the concrete loop. After placing over 90 yards of concrete a line of grey in the sand marks the place where the Greenstone will make its stand.
