| Oliphant gets Religion During this season of religious reflection and celebration followed by the Dec. 31st debauch, and the Jan. 1st resolutions to never do it again, my thoughts wander back a few years to a special holiday memory. We were living in Medford and had gotten our oldest dog, Belle, a new chew toy for happy holiday munching. As she settled down with Oliphant a shaft of light broke through the curtains and there before my eyes I got to watch Oliphant get religion; a real elephant epiphany as he resolved never to hang out at the toy store again. Beach Brrr...When was the last time you went ice skating on the Oregon Coast? Well, last week you could have on Nye Beach. Springs of water, seeping from the cliff, froze into temporary skating rinks just right for a little Boxer Hocky. As Punk Rock moves through his dark tribal dreamscape he suddenly realizes that live with barnacles might be permanent. |
