Of photo ops, and Lilliput dreams…

On the long trip home from my son's wedding in Washington we took a driving break at Cannon Beach and discovered the day there had been filled with the efforts of the sand sculptors. As the Sun set we shutter sharks moved in for the kill; circling our victims, looking for just the right spot to attack. All but two people in this picture are taking "pics," or framing them; dreaming of that perfect shot.
Even the guy to the left of back pack man is taking a pic on his cell phone. Only the person down by the water is shooting the main attraction here, Haystack Rock. Not everyone was caught up in this photo op though. This fellow preferred the pictures being formed on the celluloid of his mind as he dreamed of Lilliput and conquering new worlds.
