The Writings

Building mental pictures through the written word is another form of dreamscape. While I do not consider myself a good writer, I enjoy the pursuit of the written word. Whether it is a simple quote, a poem or sonnet, short story, essay or book, the art of the written word fascinates me.
The urge to set down my thoughts and opinions via the written word is really no different than any person's need to communicate with others about the events of their times. The internet, of course, provides the perfect forum for self expression and publication of one's thoughts and insights.
If we maintain free speech then we can learn from one another; we can progress. In perilous times free speech (and thought) are often the only effective weapon each person has in the struggle to maintain themselves and society.
And when persecution arises we must count the cost for our freedom to comment against the consequences of doing so. Freedom of speech is precious and I won’t abuse it; but comment I will, and do it with as much litterary style as I can muster.
The stream beginning here will take you through a number of pages with commentaries, poetry, haiku, essays, spiritual writ-
ings, etc. on the days of our time as viewed by an aging born again hippy who is just thankful to be among the headlands and for having the opportunity to speak out through words and images. While most of these commentaries deal with the issues of our day from a centrist standpoint, others, here, are distinctly Christian in their point of view. The greatest book ever written still has no equal in its wisdom, poetry, beautiful prose, pointed views and relevant comments.
