Greetings & welcome to DreamScapes What is a dreamscape you might ask? A dreamscape is any visualization of an idea, vision, dream, or what have you, that contains some transcendent idea or beauty. A bizarre dream at night or a pleasant daydream on a sunny beach; both are equally dreamscapes. While some dreamscapes are unnatural or unusual in nature, others can be completely natural and realistic. Either way though their effect on us becomes "dream-like" as we muse on them. This artist's goal is to record some of them here. To the degree that "life is but a dream" we row our boats through DREAMSCAPES; paddling up and down rivers of our own consciousness. Recording my experiences — my dreamscapes — through drawings, paintings, photography, and the written word. Many different styles are represented here; from realistic landscape drawings to surrealistic magical ones. I invite you to join me as we look at news and views from Yaquina City, a small coastal village in the Parallel Universe (PU) of our own sea coast town of Newport, Oregon. Occasionally though I'll comment on current events, from local to global. Some of these views may ruffle your feathers a bit, but hey, any good dreamscape ought to be slightly unsettling, right?
